About UK Settlement Hub

Current rule

UK Settlement Hub covers UK settlement, indefinite leave to remain, and citizenship — with two things most sites in this space don't offer: interactive calculators, and a hard rule that every fact carries a dated source.

What's here

  • Calculators, not just articles — the ILR Absence Calculator works out your 180-day rolling-window exposure across your whole qualifying period, and the Family Immigration Cost Planner totals a family's combined settlement and citizenship fees in one place.
  • Guides written from a plain-English, first-hand-experience angle, covering the ILR process, the 28-day early application window, MN1 child registration, and what actually happens at a UKVCAS biometrics appointment.
  • Updates on settlement rule and fee changes, published when there's a verified change worth acting on — not filler.

How we verify things

Every guide shows a "Last verified" date and links the specific GOV.UK page or Immigration Rules paragraph a claim is based on. Fees are checked against live GOV.UK fee pages, not remembered or estimated. When a rule is proposed but not yet in force — like the planned B2 English requirement change — we say so explicitly rather than describing it as current law.

What this site is not

It's general information, not immigration advice. Advising individuals on their specific immigration case is a regulated activity in the UK. Nothing here creates an adviser–client or solicitor–client relationship — see the disclaimer for the full statement, and consult a regulated immigration adviser (IAA-registered) or a solicitor for advice on your own circumstances.
